Springfield, Missouri Temple Location Revealed, Revolutionary to Others

SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is located in the Springfield Missouri Temple.

The location of the temple will be 2720 East Farm Road #188 in Springfield, he said.

The temple is expected to be a single story and extend over approximately 29,000 feet on a 38-acre site.

This temple was announced through Church President Russell M. Nelson in April 2023. This will be the third temple in Missouri.

Along with the announcement of the Springfield site, Church leaders announced the opening date of the Santiago West Chile South America Temple.

Officials, the groundbreaking will take place on August 17, 2024, in the presence of the Second Counselor of the Presidency of the South America South Area, Alan R. Walker.

The Santiago de Chile West Chile Temple announced through President Nelson in October 2021. This will be the fifth Church-owned temple in Chile.

The unveiling of the paintings took place at the Ribeirão Preto temple in Brazil on June 22, 2024.

The inauguration rite was attended by the President of the Brazil Area, Joni L. Koch.

It was announced in October 2022 and is one of 23 temples in Brazil announced, in structure or in use.
