YAKARTA – The Indonesian Association of Television Journalists (IJTI) has established a special organization to curb the spread of coronavirus infection among media personnel after at least 96 journalists and e-media staff contracted the disease.
He suggested to hounds that they may have been exposed to a virus to complete an online form provided through the organization.
He suggested that media corporations prioritize the protection of their hounds by implementing strict aptitude protocols.
The Alliance of Independent Journalists (AJI) stated that media companies should protect the fitness of their workers, as stipulated in section 86 of the Workforce Act 2003.
“The law stipulates that each and every employee is entitled to health coverage,” AJI President Abdul Manan said Thursday, kompas.tv.
Previous reports have revealed that more than 50 hounds from Surabaya, East Java, conducted Covid-19 screening tests, 3 of which died from the disease when the region emerged as a new epicenter of the Covid-19 epidemic in the country.
AJI Surabaya has stated in the past that non-compliance with journalists’ aptitude protocols and the reluctance of media corporations to protect the fitness of their workers were some of the points that contributed to the spread of infection among media workers.
