Special Envoy Appoints Rossy Bran, Owner of Rossy Shoes, as This Week’s Wonder Woman

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Special Envoy for Family and Child Development Rossana Briceño Rossy Bran, owner of Rossy Shoes, as this week’s Wonder Woman.

“Starting a business by yourself is an ambitious decision. This week, Wonder Woman Wednesday introduces you to a young entrepreneur. She gained talent, a circle of family support, education and self-confidence and advanced with ambition. Meet Rossy Bran,” the special envoy said in a social media post.

Briceño said Bran has been making women’s shoes with his father for a few months now, as a chosen direction due to the pandemic. Bran, an alumnus of St. Ignatius High School in Santa Elena, Cayo, had studied criminology at Mariano Galvez University. in Guatemala he still had to interrupt his studies due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“She showed other people the high quality of the shoes she makes,” the special envoy said.

“Some of his shoes have come to America in places like Oregon, Chicago and Los Angeles. “

According to Briceño, Bran, who lives with his parents and brother, has enjoyed his family’s life, adding his shoemaker father since the age of 13.

Bran took on the demanding situations of a small business he started without making a loan. It has to compete with importers who can sell shoes at lower prices and with the neighboring markets of Melchor and Chetumal.

“However, he remained committed to changing the public’s perspective so they can see that Belizean small businesses can also produce smart quality products,” Briceño said.

“Ms. Rossy Bran didn’t give up despite all the difficulties she faced as a small business owner ‘like ‘making her shoes in her living room’.

The special envoy said Rossy Shoes has become more popular and identified in recent times and Bran hopes that the company will continue to grow with that of its Belizean ers.

“Ms. Rossy Bran encourages Belizeans to frequently help Belizean small businesses and help local industries grow. He expressed his deepest gratitude to all those who help his company and the consumers of his products,” said special envoy Briceño.
