LANSING, Mich. – Sparrow Laboratories has reached a milestone by achieving more than 100,000 tests for COVID-19, allowing one of the few hospitals or personal laboratories in Michigan to succeed at this level.
Massive numbers are driven by the continued popularity of Sparrow Laboratories’ state-of-the-art Drive-Thru service site in Frandor, Lansing. Sparrow has added other management service sites and continues to fulfill the network’s wishes with special tests, such as the recent One at the Union Baptary Baptist Church in Lansing and August 12 in Saranac.
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Sparrow has been a national leader in performing the nasal swab or PCR test, and has adapted to one of the first Michigan hospitals to offer inpatient controls. Despite the expansion of volume, Sparrow will provide maximum control effects of patients within 48 hours. The controls are being treated at the Medical Center at Sparrow Laboratory in Lansing.
“Achieving 100,000 tests temporarily validates Sparrow’s commitment to the fitness and overall well-being of others in the Mid-Michigan community,” said James Richard, D.O., Medical Director of Sparrow Laboratories.
Sparrow thanks network partners like Sears and their donation from beneficiary area to the provider’s site. The site was once an automotive center in Sears.
Sparrow has added more workers’ bodies and adjustments in recent weeks, as the verification request has increased exponentially with recent outbreaks in the Lansing area. Sparrow has also added cutting-edge technologies to meet short- and long-term needs. To learn more about Sparrow Labs and check sites, stop at Sparrow.org/Labs.
