The death toll in Brazil is 76,000; Spain reports 580 new cases; Covid-19 reasons for direct death in 89% of pandemics in Italy
The Covid-19 vaccine progression team at the Jenner Institute at the University of Oxford hopes to begin evaluating volunteers by deliberately exposing them to the virus as a component of a “challenge trial,” a resolution considered debatable because there is no proven cure for the disease.
Although provocation trials, in which healthy volunteers obtain a pathogen, are a regimen for vaccine development, the adoption of the Covid-19 approach has been questioned, where there is no built-in safe remedy if a volunteer becomes seriously ill.
Volunteers are deliberately exposed in a controlled lab, meaning the trial can be completed in a few weeks and requires fewer people.
The number of deaths in Ireland by coronavirus increased from one to 1749, and officials confirmed that the R rate could be successful at 1.8. Plans to ease the blockade in Ireland have been suspended (see above).
Spain reported its largest accumulation of coronavirus infections in more than two months with 580 new instances, after a build-up of 390 instances on Wednesday. The regions of Aragon and Catalonia are leading the increase, Reuters reports.

Florida fitness officials announced that 156 citizens were killed by coronavirus, breaking the record for 132 deaths reported Tuesday morning.
The new one raises the total number of coronavirus deaths in Florida to 4677. The state has shown more than 315,000 cases.
