MADRID – Spain has diagnosed 2060 coronavirus infections in more than 24 hours, the Ministry of Fitness said on Monday, under the degrees noticed last week and raising the cumulative total to 405436.
Three other people died from the virus in the same period, while the number of deaths in seven days was 96, the ministry said, with a total death toll reaching 28,872.
Infections have increased considerably since Spain lifted a three-month freeze at the end of June, but the deaths were well below the peak of the epidemic at the end of March.
The most recent figures can be replaced in the long term, as official statistics are updated retroactively. (Reporting through Nathan Allen)
