The control of Sovereign Trust Insurance Plc said the company has reason to appreciate its shareholders, stakeholders and consumers for their commitment and sponsorship during more than 27 years of activity in Nigeria’s insurance market.
This was stated by the corporate when pronouncing its purpose of holding its Annual General Meeting of 2021.
The company’s head of communications and investor relations, Segun Bankole, said this year’s assembly will be held in Lagos.
He said this followed the approval of the company’s 2021 annual report through the regulator, the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) and the Nigerian Stock Exchange.
Olusegun said that, according to federal and Lagos State government rules on restricting giant gatherings to curb the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, most shareholders would participate online via a link on the company’s online page, with the exception of approved shareholder representatives.
Commenting on the company’s result for the year under review, Bankole said the sovereign trust has certainly shown excellent resilience amid the demanding situations that have characterized the operating environment in 2021.
