(PRESS RELEASE) GRAZ, March 14, 2024 — /EuropaWire/ — Swedish forestry organisation Södra has awarded foreign generation organisation ANDRITZ the upgrade of three electrostatic precipitators (ESPs) for the recovery boiler at the Mörrum pulp mill.
Mechanical and electrical retrofits will extend the life of ESPs and increase boiler capacity, while ensuring compliance with existing emission standards.
ANDRITZ will upgrade the discharge electrodes and skid plates in the early ESP fields and install high-voltage power source assemblies (Switching Built-in Rectifiers (SIR)) in all areas. These state-of-the-art CRS, supplied with silicon carbide force electronics, are offered the highest electrical power on the market, resulting in abundant power savings for plant operators.
