Site Registration and Contaminated Site Lists

On this page you will find our:

Site Registration is a newsletter that we publish approximately every two weeks. It includes data on cleanup activities, public meetings, public comment periods, and adjustments to policies and rules.

Our purpose is to provide you with timely information on the cleanup of those infected and opportunities for you to participate in this process. We use registration as a means to achieve this purpose. For more information, contact Sarah Kellington (360-280-3167, Sarah. Kellington@ecy. wa. gov) or read the Site Registration Discussion Sheet.

The cleanup and tank search aims to temporarily recover site information, reports and knowledge. You can search for a quick site or locate all sites that meet certain criteria, such as all sites in a county or with a specific contaminant. You can also percentage your effects and export them to Excel, CSV, JSON and XML formats.

All Washington State cleanup sites provide data on existing and subsequent cleanup sites. Click on a site call to stop on the cleanup site’s web page, or download the Site Details Report or available site documents directly from the search effects page. You can clean up through the county, the contaminant, the status of the site, and whether or not the site is part of the voluntary cleanup program or has institutional controls, and export its effects.

Pre-filtered subsets of the statewide list are available:

For more information on environmental clauses, brownfield sites, and leaks in underground garage tanks, use these lists from specialists:

The List of Regulated USTs provides data on active and closed underground garage tanks. You can search via ID, tag number or name, and clear via tank status, stored substance or county. Each result includes a link to the UST System Summary Report.

The Voluntary Cleanup Program provides technical assistance to others who clean sites independently. In some areas, there are waiting lists due to the capacity of green staff.
