Singapore is trying to further ease the pandemic’s brakes, allowing more social gatherings in an additional step towards standardized activity as new cases of coronavirus drop to near zero.
The government organization responsible for the pandemic said phase 3 of its crusade could begin until the end of the year, allowing for further easing of measures, as well as virus testing and enhanced touch search controls:
“When can all these steps be taken?” Education Minister Lawrence Wong said at a pandemic task force briefing: “That is the big question and the answer is that it depends on all of us. “
In addition to a pilot program to collect large-scale attfinishants on the site, the government plans to make its touch search technology, known as TraceTogether, mandatory until the end of the year for all popular locations that lately require pre-entry registration.
TraceTogether will be deployed in places with activities involving other people’s largest teams until mid-November, and can be used through a cellular app or with a government-provided physical token. There are approximately 2. 5 million other people, or about 45% of the population, lately the program, Wong said, adding that the percentage will have to be at least 70% to be effective.
“You can compare the existing stage with the place where a chimney site has just been extinguished, however, there are fireworks around,” the minister said. “Whenever we make the measurements even more flexible, we simply load woodenen into the chimney site. know when, however, at some point, the more woodenen they load, the total thing will burn again. “
Singapore will verify coronavirus controls for participants in large-scale gatherings employing immediate antigen controls, or ART, which can return “fairly accurate” effects in part of an hour. expensive than traditional PCR controls, Kenneth Mak, director of medical facilities for the Department of Health, said at the briefing.
Pre-event events starting in mid-October at business meetings, wedding banquets, live performances and sporting occasions will allow the Ministry of Health to identify a style that can be implemented more broadly and allow for the resumption of occasions on a larger scale, he said.
Although the ART load has not yet been completed, it will be significantly less expensive than PCR testing, Mak said.
Only participants with a negative check will be able to participate in the event. Singapore International Energy Week next week will be one of the first publicity occasions of the pilot assignment. Pilot allocation is a component of the government’s plans to prepare the country for phase 3 of its reopening, in all likelihood until the end of the year.
Singapore is in favour of a variety of vaccines and is comparing the right maximum vaccine, officials said at the briefing. Vaccines may start arriving in Singapore until the end of the year, but it is more realistic that Phase 3 trials will be completed next year.
