Singapore reports 1,847 new COVID-19

Singapore on Saturday reported 1,847 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total to 1,873,747.

Of the new cases, 203 cases were detected through PCR (polymerase chain reaction) tests and 1,644 through ART (rapid antigen test) tests, according to statistics released through the Ministry of Health.

Of the PCR instances, 177 were local transmissions and 26 imported instances. Among art instances with symptoms and assessed as low risk, there were 1,525 local transmissions and 119 imported instances, respectively.

A total of 183 cases are hospitalized lately, adding cases in intensive care units.

Two more COVID-19 deaths were reported on Saturday, bringing the total number of deaths to 1,607, the ministry said.
