Singapore has introduced a new military service to bolster its defenses against a host of evolving security threats in the virtual realm — anything experts say Japan may be aware of, though it’s unlikely to adhere to that trend anytime soon.
First announced in March, the city-state’s Digital and Intelligence Service (DIS), a fourth branch of the military along with the army, air force and military, officially opened Friday in a rite presided over by President Halimah Yacob.
