(Reuters) – Singapore Airlines (SIA) posted a net profit of S$370 million ($268 million) in the first quarter, it said on Thursday, after passenger traffic quadrupled year-over-year thanks to easing. COVID-19 restrictions.

This represents a significant improvement from the loss of S$409 million in the first quarter of last year, when more than two-thirds of its profits came from freight.
