Our project is to foster effective communication, build a network and facilitate end-of-life care for other LGBT people. Our purpose is to raise awareness of the unique demanding situations faced by this population as they age and approach the end of life. Our purpose is to go beyond education and provide other LGBT people and their service providers with equipment to take positive action in end-of-life planning. One such tool is the British Columbia LGBT End of Life Resource Inventory developed to provide a review (health, housing, mental and social support, spiritual, etc. ) lately in our province. See also our team’s list of Canadian and foreign publications. There’s a lot of discussion about the network these days and debates about what the network actually means. In LGBT End-of-Life Conversations, that network is about sharing end-of-life considerations and issues with our peers and supporting and definitely interacting with each other.
