Dutch police said Saturday that several more people were killed in an incident when a truck entered a street party in the southern Dutch town of Nieuw Beijerland.
Police, who did give express figures on the victims, said they were investigating the incident, which occurred around 7 p. m. local time, about 30 km south of Rotterdam.

“At some point, a truck went off the road and hit the party,” police spokeswoman Elianne Mastwijk told the Rijnmond TV channel.
It’s unclear what caused the incident, Mastwijk said, or the exact number of other people who died or were injured because the truck has not yet been removed from the site.
Images released through Rijnmond and other local media showed a heavy truck from a Spanish shipping company in the back of a small levee, amid damaged picnic tables.
