Seven districts on yellow alert for heavy rains

The alert runs from 3:00 a. m. to 3:00 p. m. M. On Wednesdays

Seven districts of Portugal – Viseu, Porto, Viana do Castelo, Leiria, Aveiro, Coimbra and Braga – will be on yellow alert tomorrow due to forecasts of heavy rain and thunder imaginable, said the National Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA).

The alert will run from 3:00 a. m. to 3:00 p. m. M. El Wednesday, October 19.

Porto, Viana do Castelo and Braga will also be on yellow alert due to strong winds from the south, which are expected to reach up to 85 kilometers per hour in coastal and mountain areas, from 09:00 hours on Wednesday.

The most recent yellow alert covers the districts of Porto, Faro, Setúbal, Viana do Castelo, Lisbon, Leiria, Beja, Aveiro, Coimbra and Braga and will run from 3 a. m. M. from Thursday until 3 a. m. of Friday due to the forecast of thick seaswith waves due to heights of 4 to meters.
