HONG KONG, September 2, 2020 / PRNewswire / – SEEK Asia, which combines two major brands JobStreet and JobsDB under one roof, announced the appointment of Peter Bithos as CEO.
In his new role, Peter will be guilty of leading and stimulating seek Asia’s commercial expansion and operations, building good fortune and the company’s presence for more than 23 years in Southeast Asia.
Peter’s 25-year career to date includes executive and CEO positions across the region, spanning evolved and emerging markets and encompassing a variety of companies, from start-ups to giant companies.
Peter’s remarkable achievements come with the creation and scaling of virtual businesses from scratch, and have helped him lead one of the world’s most successful telecommunications transformations over the past decade.
“Peter has a proven track record in developing technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) companies, leading virtual transformation systems for businesses, and building a strong corporate culture in the Asia-Pacific and U.S. markets,” said Ian Narev, head of the SEEK Official Operations Group and Chief Executive Officer of the Asia-Pacific region and America (AP).

Peter succeeds Suresh Thiru, who has been CEO since 2016, and has worked at SEEK Asia (JobStreet) since 2000.

Over the past decade, Peter has worked in Asia and was recently managing director of the premium virtual streaming service HOOQ, a joint venture between Singtel, Sony and Warner Brothers.
In the past, he held high-control positions at Singtel, adding Globe Telecom’s chief operating officer in the Philippines.
Previously, he was CEO of Virgin Mobile Australia and Director of Strategy and Business Development at Optus Australia.He also has nearly a decade of experience in strategic consulting, having held a checkpoint at Bain.
Peter, who was born and knowledgeful in the United States, has been living in Singapore lately with his wife and three daughters.
