Vital counter-terrorism products designed and manufactured in central the UK may soon be installed across the Middle East after a Derbyshire security products company signed a new export deal.
Securiscape, which makes hostile vehicle mitigation planters, railings, bollards and transient road barriers, has partnered with Dubai-based Securicity IFZA, which plans to bring the device to countries including Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
The company, which is operated through entrepreneur Erna Agustin, will announce and sell Securiscape’s products, which come with planters designed to be placed outdoors in buildings such as hotels and banks to prevent hostile attacks or hostile attacks, sliding bollard systems used for vehicle access to residential advances and reinforced pedestrian railings, which can be used to align roads and protect pedestrians from cars or trucks that are intentionally heading towards them.
Securiscape, which was founded in Ashbourne and began developing its first product following a vehicle attack at Glasgow International Airport in 2007, has provided its products to corporations and experts across the UK for the past 16 years but, in addition to offering a number of street planters in New York, this is the first distribution agreement of its kind.
