Second human trials of the Russian COVID-19 vaccine – Kremlin are introduced into the United Arab Emirates

MOSCOW – Human testing of the Russian COVID-19 vaccine has begun in the United Arab Emirates, the Kremlin said Monday in a phone call between President Vladimir Putin and Abu Dhabi’s crown prince, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nahyan.

Trials in the United Arab Emirates are the time for trials of the Sputnik V vaccine abroad, following the publication of trials in Belarus. Trials are also expected to begin in Venezuela in the near future.

The Russian Direct Investment Fund, which markets the vaccine abroad, declined to comment (information through Polina Ivanova; editing through Jon Boyle).
