Leaders and representatives from Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, Iran, Bahrain, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar and Kuwait attended Tuesday’s convention at the Dead Sea in Iraq.
Together with the regional powers, the convention is France, the European Union, the United Nations, the League of Arab States and the Gulf Cooperation Council.
The leaders insisted on the importance of holding a third circular of the convention that was presented through a Franco-Iraqi organization, agreeing to hold it next year at a date and place to be decided through further consultations.
The participants reaffirmed the continued efforts to take advantage of the effects of the first circular of the Baghdad Conference and enhance cooperation with Iraq in terms of its security, stability and sovereignty, as well as its democratic and constitutional processes.
Meanwhile, they underlined their condemnation of extremism and terrorism throughout its bureaucracy and reiterated their support for Iraq in its efforts to expand its constitutional democratic procedure and consolidate the rule of law and smart governance.
They also affirmed their support for Iraq’s efforts to build facilities capable of driving progress and reconstruction, safeguarding the gains made and fulfilling the aspirations of its people.
In addition, participants pressed their support for Iraq’s efforts to achieve comprehensive progress and affirmed their work with the sister country for economic integration through cooperation in many sectors, adding energy, water, electric power connectivity, food and physical security, transportation, infrastructure. and climateaction.
They also highlight the importance of the trilateral cooperation framework between Jordan, Egypt and Iraq, and the joint economic projects agreed through this mechanism, adding electric power connectivity projects, he said.
Participants pressed the importance of joint projects between the members of the Gulf Cooperation Council and Iraq in the spaces of connectivity and transmission of electric power, as well as other regional projects that contribute to economic integration and development.
In addition, they insisted that the holding of the convention at its circular time underscores the fear of Iraq’s central role in expanding regional economic cooperation and building bridges of discussion to end tensions and identify mutually favorable regional relations.
Participants reaffirmed that the achievement of economic progress and good fortune in regional cooperation projects require the building of constructive regional links on the basis of good-neighbourliness and non-interference in the internal affairs of States.
They are also under pressure for wanting to respect foreign law, cooperate for security and stability, combat terrorism and achieve prosperity.
The convention discussed the ramifications of regional crises and in Iraq and the region, emphasizing that overcoming those crises requires comprehensive regional cooperation.
Participants also called for serious and effective economic and political approaches that serve mutual interests, the procedure of progress in Iraq and contribute to regional progress.
