White House pandemic advisor Scott Atlas criticized Twitter for censoring him for an article he wrote about mask and coronavirus.
Atlas, a questionable member of Trump’s Covid reaction team, tweeted Sunday and said, “Does the mask work?NO” followed examples of places where regulations for the use of masks are widespread and where cases are increasing lately.
Twitter deleted the message for “containing misinformation” and Atlas said his account was also suspended for 12 hours.
The 65-year-old neuroradiologist accused social media of censoring the facts, comparing the resolution to regimes in North Korea or Russia.
It comes after Twitter was accused of censorship for preventing users from sharing a story about Joe Biden’s son Hunter and his business connections in Ukraine.

Atlas tweet included quotes from WHO, the Oxford Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine and the Centers for Disease Control who wondered about the effectiveness of masks.
“The challenge is masks, as you well know,” Atlas told Tucker Carlson on Fox News.
