Engineer Faisal Al Qahtani, head of west dammam municipality, said the municipality’s environmental suitability breakdown, in cooperation with security authorities, raided a component that used a warehouse and factory to make sweets and cakes for one of the local advertising companies as a component of inspections to corporations complied with the bylaws.
He added that much of the chocolates were pre-prepared and outdated.
“The municipality conducts normal inspections of food institutions authorized to comply with our regulations and will not hesitate to take legal action if necessary,” Al Qahtani said.
Members of the public are asked to meet with a potentially misplaced food operator to report it to the municipality with toll-free number 940, he said.
Al Qahtani said food security is a joint responsibility. “While the municipality implements and implements regulatory measures, food operators will have to play their part in adhering to smart hygiene and food preparation practices, and public feedback is essential,” he said.
