Saudi coach denies acquiring Rolls Royce after Argentina win

Saudi Arabia’s head coach Herve Renard has denied claims that his entire team won a Rolls Royce from the country’s royal circle of relatives after their surprise World Cup victory over Argentina.

In the past it has been reported that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud would give each of the players a RM6 million Rolls Royce Phantom when they returned from Qatar. But now Mr Renard has invalidated the report by saying: ‘There is no truth to that’.

According to the New York Post, Hervé Renard said, “We have a very serious federation and sports ministry and this is not the time to get anything right now. We’ve only played one game, we have two games [at the stage of organization] and we expect more. “

“I don’t know if the press conference before Argentina. I said the game against Argentina is one of the 3 vital games we have to play. The only smart thing at the end of this level of organization is to finish No. 1 or number 2,” he added.

According to Yahoo News, Saleh al-Shehri, the Saudi striker who scored the first goal in the win over Argentina, also called the report false. “That’s true. We are here to serve our country and do our best. That’s the reward. ” He said.

Reports that the Saudi team would get the luxury car were first from a social media post through an uninformed Pakistani dentist, the Post reported.

Meanwhile, following Saudi Arabia’s historic victory over Argentina, the country announced a festive holiday. However, Saudi Arabia lost 2-0 to Poland on Saturday, leaving Group C open. Now, the final adjustment of the country’s level of organization vis-à-vis Mexico will be to take a position on Wednesday.
