Cairo/Sputnik: Saudi Arabia reopened on Sunday the Grand Mosque of Mecca, the most sacred of Muslims, for prayers, after a seven-month break due to the coronavirus pandemic, the official spa news agency reported.
The country has also moved into a momentary phase of the slow resumption of the pilgrimage from the Umra to the holy city for its citizens and citizens of the kingdom, expanding the capatown from 30% to 75%.
The Ministry of Hajj and Omra is doing everything possible to bring all mandatory health measures into force, according to the agency. Some 4,000 workers are concerned about cleaning the territory of the mosque and disinfected 10 times a day.
