Saudi Arabia on Saturday condemned Israel’s ground operations in the Gaza Strip and called on the foreign network to ensure an early ceasefire in the besieged enclave.
In a statement, the Saudi Foreign Ministry said it condemned “any military operation carried out through Israel in the Gaza Strip because of the risk it poses to the lives of Palestinian civilians. “
The ministry suggested to the foreign network to take over its day-to-day tasks to achieve a swift ceasefire based on the UN solution adopted on Friday.
The U. N. General Assembly on Friday afternoon approved a solution calling for a humanitarian truce, but Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen called it “despicable” and rejected it. The non-binding solution received 120 votes in favour, 14 against and forty-five abstentions. Members of the UN.
On Friday night, Israel announced the start of the ground operation in the Gaza Strip, under bombardments described as the most intense of the entire Israeli offensive on Gaza, which is entering its third week.

Gaza has been reeling from relentless airstrikes since Hamas’ marvelous offensive on October 7.
Israel responded with a relentless crusade of airstrikes, which intensified Friday night, along with floor operations, amid a general blackout of telecommunications and internet networks.
At least 7,703 Palestinians, in addition to 3,595 children, were killed in the Israeli attacks, while another 1,400 people were killed in the Hamas attack on Israel.
Gaza’s 2. 3 million citizens are also facing food and water shortages due to Israel’s blockade of the enclave. Only a few aid trucks have entered Gaza since the opening of the Rafah crossing last weekend.
