Now, Saudi nationals leaving their home country no longer want to present evidence of vaccination against covid-19, the government announced Thursday.
“An official source from the Ministry of Interior said that the decision was made to allow citizens to leave the Kingdom without needing to be vaccinated against the coronavirus,” according to a statement published in the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The resolution was based on a report presented by the health government after reviewing the robust Covid scenario locally and globally, he added.
However, the government will continue to monitor progress around the virus.
Saudi Arabia has been relaxing its Covid regulations since 2022, and earlier this year lifted the restriction on the number of Haj pilgrims and age limits for the first time in three years.
