Saudi Arabia: 4,000 employees to wash the Grand Mosque 10 times a day Hajj

Dubai: The General Presidency of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has deployed its vast human and technological resources at the Grand Mosque to welcome worshippers in the upcoming Hajj season.

The general presidency has mobilized more than 400 Saudi supervisors to oversee cash operations led by a large number of 4,000 male and female employees who will clean the Grand Mosque at least 10 times a day, ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of this holy site.

7,000 bottles of Zamzam water will also be prepared and distributed, with 800 more employees on site to serve worshippers at the Grand Mosque.

In addition, 4,500 boxes of Zamzam water will be strategically around the Grand Mosque.

Mohammed Al Jabri, assistant to the general president for Services, Technical and Field Affairs at the Grand Mosque, said the preparation of the Agency for Services and Field Affairs includes the deployment of 5,000 normal cars and nearly 3,000 electric cars, all coordinated through the “TANAQOL” app.

Al Jabri praised the technological technique for cleaning: “Eleven intelligent sterilization robots will be used, capable of operating up to 8 hours without human intervention. Pre-programmed to sterilize each and every nook and cranny of the Grand Mosque, those robots will be supported by 20 Biocare dry steam sterilization devices for simultaneous sterilization of air and surfaces. “

In addition, fog sterilizers will be used in hard-to-reach spaces and six hundred hands-free disinfectants will be installed.

Several groups will paint to sterilize the Grand Mosque, its outer courtyards and toilets with more than 70,000 liters of sterilizers, assembling the highest criteria of outdoor suitability for environmental prevention and epidemic control.

Al Jabri also highlighted plans to manage the entrances and corridors of the Grand Mosque, set up for worshippers to enter and exit through doors and escalators, and direct them to designated prayer areas.

These efforts will be in line with the operational plan approved by the presidency, ensuring a spiritually satisfying Hajj for all.
