U.S. billionaire Marc Benioff said in an interview with CNBC monday that if a mask were worn in the United States, the coronavirus crisis would end in the country in three weeks.
“Masks are so important,” he said in CNBC’s Mad Money.
He went on to point out that of Japan, which said it has a “culture of masking,” and noted the low number of infections in the country.
Benioff did not provide any express evidence for the three-week claim, there is evidence in development that mask assistance prevents transmission of the virus, and senior officials inspire its use in public places.
Benioff and Mad Money host Jim Cramer discussed the factor of dressing in a mask to highlight their confidence that dressing in a mask will end the pandemic faster than not.
The two sponsor the Next-Gen Mask Challenge, a festival presented to combat COVID-19 through a non-profit foundation, XPRIZE.

During an eight-month challenge, young adults between the ages of 15 and 24 are invited to produce a mask that allows them to expand.
“We perceive that the mask may be inadequate, uncomfortable, replaced and that the effective maximum mask is unavailable or expensive to ordinary people,” said Peter Diamandis, founder and chief executive officer of the XPRIZE Foundation.
“We want a choice, so XPRIZE is for the world’s innovative youth to help reinvent the mask and create an available option that will help protect against the spread of COVID-19.”

Leading experts, such as Dr. Anthony Fauci, Head of Diseases, and Surgeon General Jerome Adams, have strongly encouraged a mask dressing in public, but the implementation of these tips has been controversial, and many seek to turn the use of masks into a political debate. .
Many anti-mask protesters opposed the council, arguing that the mask violates their rights. Some have claimed that their situations make dressing in a mask dangerous, a widely disputed statement by experts, while others recommend that strips of fabric restrict oxygen intake.
