Russian corporation begins painting new Soyuz-6 carrier rocket

“This year, the Progress Space Rocket Center is involved in curtain progression paintings from a clinical and technical report on the Soyuz-6 rocket. The pitcher’s design is being developed with lead contractor Energia Space Rocket Corporation,” the press said.

The rocket’s conceptual design is planned after federal firm Roscosmos studied the clinical and technical report on the formula of the rocket with the Soyuz-6 carrier rocket, he said.

Russian company Roscosmos plans to create the Soyuz-6 rocket and Soyuz-5 launcher as the base. Flight tests of the new carrier rocket are expected to begin at the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan in 2025.

Roscosmos boss Dmitri Rogozine said earlier that the new Soyuz-6 carrier rocket could simply be called Amur. The new rocket could be tested at the first launch of Baikonur’s spaceport (the “Gagarin Start” launch pad), he added.

Progress Space Rocket Center CEO Dmitry Baranov said in January that the company could start work this year on the design of the Soyuz-6 launcher.
