Russia says Saudi Arabia will have coVID-19 vaccine

Moscow: Russia has reached a previous agreement to conduct clinical trials of its questionable coronavirus vaccine in Saudi Arabia, according to its sovereign fund holder.

The Russians are working with a pharmaceutical company in the kingdom and have shared phase I and Phase II verification knowledge with Saudi partners, the managing director of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, Kirill Dmitriev, told Arab News. The company has been identified.

“In fact, we will have interaction with Saudi scientists and the Saudi Ministry of Health,” Dmitriev said. “We who Saudi Arabia will be a very strong spouse in our joint paintings on the Sputnik V vaccine.”

Earlier this month, Russia approved a coronavirus vaccine before major tests showed it was effective. The plan is to start early with a great inoculation. A local agreement of multinational pharmaceutical corporations has described hasty regulatory approval as risky.
