Russia records 9,474 COVID-19 cases, new low since July 27: crisis center

MOSCOW. KAZINFORM – The number of COVID-19 cases in Russia rose from 9,474 in the last day to 21,324,431, the coronavirus crisis reported on Tuesday, TASS reports.

In absolute terms, the number of instances is the lowest since July 27, when 9,027 instances were registered. A day earlier, 10,403 instances were registered.

No fewer than 1,937 more people were hospitalized with COVID-19 in Russia on the last day, up 220. 7% from the previous day. The number of hospitalized patients increased in 74 regions, while in five regions the number decreased. The scenario remained unchanged in six regions. The day before, another 604 people were taken to hospitals.

COVID-19 cases in Moscow rose 606 in the last day from 676 cases the previous day, reaching 3,220,765, to the coronavirus crisis center. COVID-19 cases in St. Petersburg rose from 709 the previous day to 647 in the last day, reaching 1,779,210.

COVID-19 recoveries in Russia topped 20,252 in the past day, reaching 20,638,610, the coronavirus crisis center said Tuesday.

A day earlier, some 14,513 had recovered.

Russia’s COVID-19 death toll rose to 91 in the past day, reaching 389,084, the coronavirus crisis center said Tuesday.

The number of COVID deaths did not exceed one hundred for the fifth consecutive day.
