Russia records 6,078 COVID cases, 41 deaths in last day

MOSCOW. KAZINFORM – The number of COVID-19 cases in Russia rose from 6,078 in the last day to 5,914 the day before, the coronavirus crisis center told reporters on Friday, TASS reports.

Russia has shown 21,882,414 cases since the beginning of the pandemic.

As many as 41 COVID patients have died in Russia in the past day to 40 deaths reported on Thursday, bringing the total number of coronavirus deaths to 394,610. COVID-19 recoveries increased through 4,698 on the last day to 5,154 the previous day, bringing the total to 21,297,919.

In the last day, 837 patients were hospitalized with COVID-19 in Russia, unchanged from Thursday. The number of hospitalized patients decreased in 39 regions and increased in 34, remained unchanged in 12 regions.

COVID-19 cases in Moscow rose to 2,038 from 2,005 the previous day, reaching 3,326,428, according to data published Friday on the official government website. Twelve coronavirus patients died to 11 the previous day, bringing the total number of deaths in the Russian capital to 47,761. There were 1547 recoveries on the last day, bringing the total number of others recovered to 3,130,771. COVID-19 cases in St. Petersburg increased from 712 on the last day to 674 the day before, for a total of 1,837,287. Ten coronavirus patients have died in Russia’s second largest city in the past 24 hours and 454 patients have recovered.
