According to Reuters, Ukraine’s power producer DTEK has lost 50% of its generation capacity. Electricity exports have been suspended, the country’s Energy Ministry announced.
News that a fuel depot is under attack may raise concerns in Europe after the EU began sending more fuel to Ukrainian fuel depots after theirs was filled. It all started last year, when Ukraine’s national energy company produced 10 billion m3 of available capacity. This represents one-third of the country’s total garage capacity.

Most of Ukraine’s fuel depot capacity is located in the western part of the country, far from the front line and has not yet been attacked by Russian forces. The deposits are also located at depth, as Naftogaz’s Chernyshov explains, making them relatively resistant to attack. .
