BUCHAREST (Reuters) – Romanian prosecutors said on Thursday they had arrested Andrew Tate, a questionable personality and former professional boxer on suspicion of human trafficking, rape and forming a group of concerted criminals.
Tate, banned from many social media platforms for misogynistic comments and hate speech, and his brother Tristan will be detained for 24 hours along with two Romanian suspects, prosecutors from the Organized Crime Unit said after raiding their homes in Bucharest.
The Tate brothers have been investigated by thieves since April.
They declined to comment that their lawyer proved they had been detained.
“The 4 Array-suspects. . . They appear to have created an organized criminal organization with the aim of recruiting, harboring and exploiting women by forcing them to create pornographic content intended for viewing on specialized programs in exchange for a fee,” prosecutors said.
“They would have made sums of money. “
Prosecutors said they discovered six who had been sexually exploited through the suspects.
Tate said women are partly guilty of rape and belong to men.
Earlier this week, climate activist Greta Thunberg told the British citizen to have a life on Twitter after telling him he was 33 with “huge emissions. “
