Fox Business Network host Maria Bartiromo wondered on air if COVID-19 was orchestrated negatively for the United States and prompted the resignation of President Donald Trump.
In September, the Republican-led House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic (SSCP) wrote a letter on behalf of House Republicans, alleging that former White House chief medical adviser Anthony Fauci had been escorted through the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and influenced by the issue. Origins of the COVID-19. La letter demanded answers from the inspector general about whether Fauci, an immunologist and then-director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), intended to shape a specific narrative related to the coronavirus lab leak theory.
In February, the Wall Street Journal reported that intelligence analysts at the U. S. Department of Energy had been working on the U. S. Department of Energy. The U. S. Department of Homeland Security (DOE) backed up a report released at the time, titled “China: Origins of COVID-19 Outbreak Remain Unknown,” which said the coronavirus likely originated in a Chinese lab. However, the report and a large number of scientists concluded that the disease had been genetically modified or deliberately used as a biological weapon.
“What do you think happened here?” Bartiromo interviewed Republican Rep. Brad Wenstrup on his “Mornings With Maria” show Monday. “He designed it, it came out of the Wuhan lab, and then China tried to cover it up. It doesn’t tell me anything if it was intentional.
“I mean, is there any chance that China will deliberately spread this virus in the United States: disrupt the country, take out Donald Trump, bring in their man, Joe Biden, and then cover it up?
“Whether intentional or accidental, [Democrats] seemed to be aware of it,” the Ohio congressman and chairman of the subcommittee responded, adding that Trump had heard Chinese President Xi Jinping say everything was fine when the virus became public.
Wenstrup said his subcommittee got little input from Democratic members who he said were looking to move forward without fully analyzing how COVID-19 is a full-blown pandemic.
Wenstrup and Bartiromo said Chinese bioweapons are a broader fear in the post-COVID world, citing a Nov. 16 Justice Department indictment charging Chinese national Jia Bei Zhu, 62, also known as Jesse Zhu, Qiang He and David He. accused of distributing adulterated and misbranded medical devices after allegedly selling hundreds of thousands of COVID-19 test kits to U. S. companies without authorization or premarket approval.
“You have to ask yourself who is running America today, and Democrats seem to need to forget about all that,” Wenstrup said. “I try to be independent in all this, but what we see are attempts at a cover-up. ” “You try to forget what happened. And it doesn’t make any sense. This is not smart for public health in the United States. The United States of America and I hope at some point the Democrats come back to reality. “
The congressman also mentioned that the subcommittee conducted a transcribed interview over the past week with Peter Daszak, president of the nonprofit EcoHealth Alliance (EHA), whose organization has gained notoriety during the pandemic thanks to years of studies on bat viruses with the Wuhan Institute of Virology. (WIV), where the first cases of COVID were reported.
Daszak warned through the Chinese government about the risks of publicly mentioning the virus, Wenstrup said, and Daszak briefed Fauci in 2021 “and has a date with him. “
Since October 2021 and following the EHA’s public revelations, Daszak was accused of concealing conflicts of interest, withholding critical information, and misleading public opinion during the pandemic.
“Chairman Wenstrup pointed out an apparent question: Why did each and every Democratic member of the Select Subcommittee miss the chance to speak with Dr. Peter Daszak?” a spokesperson for the elected subcommittee told Newsweek via email. Although the organization funded risky gain-of-function studies in Wuhan that would have possibly led to the origin of COVID-19, it is true that the Democrats on the subcommittee ignored this interview.
“President Wenstrup is working diligently to investigate the origin of the pandemic, stick to the evidence wherever it leads, and keep partisan games out of the equation. As we seek to prepare our country for a long-term pandemic, the president will continue his fight to reveal all the evidence surrounding the origin of this virus and hold the culprits accountable.
Wenstrup also told Bartiromo that while some members and agencies have passed on their information, he says the DOE and FBI could get others to come forward and admit that the virus came from a lab.
“[Former U. S. Director of National Intelligence] John Ratcliffe testified before our committee and said he obviously gave the impression of coming from the lab,” Wenstrup said. “That’s the only credible explanation out there, and he thinks more and more agencies will. “They meet once they know all the information.
“And why did the Chinese embassy send me a letter just as this subcommittee started, telling me that it is seriously involved in this investigation and this committee and that it is firmly opposed to it?”
