Connecticut’s first-year democrat called for a national strategy in a series of tweets
WATERBURY, Conn. – Rep. Jahana Hayes of Connecticut has conducted tests to detect the new coronavirus and will be quarantined for 14 days, she announced Sunday on Twitter.
“After visiting two emergency care centers yesterday, they nevertheless gave me an appointment at a third place and tested me this morning,” the Democrat first said. Hayes claimed he had no symptoms of COVID-19 “except for respiratory disorders being controlled. “
Hayes asked for evidence after one of his staff tested positive for the virus on Saturday and claimed he had not experienced any symptoms, because of breathing problems.

Hayes, 47, said he contracted the virus despite taking “every precaution imaginable. “He said his delight highlighted the need for a national detection strategy “with a consistent way to receive immediate and accurate results,” adding, “This point of anxiety and uncertainty is unsustainable. “

Hayes went on to explain in the thread that members of Congress are not tested for the virus, that nearly 6. 8 million more people have contracted in the United States and that mass testing does not exist in Washington, DC The virus, which causes COVID-19 disease, has been linked to more than 199,000 deaths in the country and more than 958,300 internationalArray deaths according to knowledge compiled through researchers at Johns University Hopkins.

“Masks, social distance and common soil cleaning are the precautions to be taken at home. I took each and every precaution and contracted a coronavirus again,” he wrote in a tweet.
