MADRID (AP) — Spain is a little relieved after testing over the weekend showed no serious injuries to Atletico Madrid forward Alvaro Morata. Morata had to be substituted on Saturday after injuring his right ankle in the team’s 3-2 defeat in Cadiz in the Spanish league match. Atletico’s initial description of the injury was a “bruise,” and he later said he had swelling in the soft tissues of his ankle. Atletico say the progress of Morata’s recovery will be when he returns to training. He was not expected to play in the Champions League match in Porto this week.
