Reducing energy consumption in Kazakhstan

ASTANA. KAZINFORM Since the beginning of the year, electricity intake has decreased by 1. 4% compared to the same era last year, reports Kazinform.

“As of October 16, the entry of electricity, adding exports, amounted to 86,900 million kwh. Energy input reached 86. 8 billion kWh, which is 1. 4 percent less than in the same era in 2021,” Kazakhstan’s Energy Minister Bolat Akchulakov said at the government meeting.

He added that the existing outlet is basically related to the detection of illicit mining activities.

As previously reported, some 50 mining companies were officially registered in Kazakhstan.
