Pilgrims in this year’s Hajj know how privileged they are.
The annual five-day Islamic pilgrimage attracts 2.5 million other people, however, this year, due to the coronavirus, the government is allowing only another 10,000 people to provide physical distance.
This is the first time in fashion history that Muslims will not be able to attend.
The 10,000 pilgrims were decided through the Saudi government between foreign nationals and citizens of Saudi Arabia.
They were required to wear an electronic mask and bracelets to monitor their movements.
A coronavirus and a brief quarantine were also required before the pilgrimage.
Authorities ordered a thorough cleanup of Islam’s holiest site last week to minimize the threat of COVID-19 contagion.
