With 40,702 instances consisting of millions since the start of the pandemic, Qatar is well ahead of Bahrain, which has registered nearly 29,000 million-consistent instances, and San Marino with just over 21,000.
Here is an explanation as to why Qatar, which has 2. 75 million inhabitants, has reported so many cases and how it has dealt with the public fitness emergency.
Why does Qatar have constant infection rate with the inhabitant?
The qatari fitness government insists that its most consistent infection rate with the capita is mainly due to one factor: detection.
Nearly 600,000 others have been screened for the new coronavirus, or more than a fifth of the population.
“Because of our low detection threshold, we have known many more asymptomatic and mild cases of the virus than in countries,” Abdullatif al-Khal, president of the National Strategic Group on COVID-19, told AFP.
But beyond that, Qatar has faced the spread of local epidemics due to its reliance on foreign personnel living in overcrowded and unhealthy situations as it transforms the country for the 2022 World Cup.
Antoine Flahault, co-director of the Swiss School of Public Health, told AFP that other countries with giant migrant workers, in addition to Singapore and other Gulf countries, were facing spikes in cases.
“Singapore saw an increase in cases last April, which in the dormitories of migrant workers with low degrees of sanitation insurance (and) fitness,” he said.
The outlying trading area of Doha, the capital of Qatar, which was the scene of the first wave of reported cases in the country, sealed through security forces and flooded with public fitness groups to involve the epidemic.
Authorities say new strict hygiene regulations have been implemented in migrant workers’ neighborhoods.
What is the verification strategy?
Unlike some Gulf countries that have opted for trawling, Doha has focused on teams more vulnerable to infection, adding migrants and Qatari returning from abroad.
More than one in citizens has already been tested, and at the height of the pandemic, more than one in four of these analyses tested positive, according to a laboratory source.
Luxembourg is the most sensible of global check scores with 755 other people from the start of the pandemic; Qatar ranks ninth in the world with 203.
Why is mortality so low?
Qatar’s strong gas-rich investment in its fitness care formula in recent years, along with its young population of migrant workers, has helped keep its mortality rate among the lowest in the world, according to the government and experts.
Only another 194 people died, only 0. 17% of those infected, according to official statistics.
Qatar’s 67-death mortality rate of one million is the lowest time in the Gulf Cooperation Council bloc with one million, only the United Arab Emirates with 37 million. By contrast, the United States reported 523 deaths consistent with millions.
“The explanation is that they probably have (one of) the most productive fitness systems: they are well stocked and well prepared,” Abdinasir Abubakar of the World Regional Health Organization told AFP.
Qatar’s critical care infrastructure has also shown resilience, some countries where the mortality rate has been much higher.
Intensive care teams in the Gulf State reached 76% of their capacity at the height of the epidemic, the Ministry of Health said.
“A strong history of investment in the fitness sector (ensured) that everyone in need of hospital care can get it for free,” Khal said.
– Is there a peak of a moment? –
As of August 20, Qatar’s “R” rate, the number of other people inflamed with an inflamed person, had fallen “well below 1 and remains stable,” Khal said.
