By registering more than 75,000 instances of COVID-19 for the first time in 24 hours, the virus count in India exceeded 33 lakh on Thursday, while the number of recoveries exceeded the mark of 25 lakh, according to the knowledge of the Union’s Ministry of Health.
A record 75,760 infections were added in a day, bringing the total number of coronavirus cases to 33,10,234. The death toll rose to 60,472 with 1,023 reported deaths in 24 hours, according to updated knowledge at 8 a. m.
With a total of 25,23,771 patients recovering so far, the cure rate has been recorded at 76. 24%, while the rate of COVID-19 cases has decreased to 1. 83%.
There are 725991 active cases of coronavirus infection in the country, representing 21. 93% of the total number of cases, according to the data.
