Nigeria has won a commitment from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to address the challenges of progression, adding that it has an effect on the COVID-19 pandemic.

UNDP’s commitment is also to help the federal government to peace and security through inclusive, cutting-edge and sustainable, people-centered solutions.

UNDP Resident Representative Lealem Berhanu Dinku on Thursday in Abuja at the launch of the National and Regional Capacity Development Project for Peace Support Operations (OSP), the Centre for Research and Strategic Studies (CSRS) and the National Defence College (NDC).

The allocation is financed through UNDP Japan.

The resident representative welcomed the allocation and stressed that the strategic partnership between UNDP and Japan and CSRS/NDC through the allocation would be the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 16 and peace operations, from conflict prevention to conflict control and peacebuilding. and shock recovery.

The Minister of State, Ministry of Budget and National Planning, Prince Clem Agba, who represented through the Director of International Cooperation, Elizabeth Egharevba, said that the allocation document had already been approved through the ministry.
