A large-scale test operation underway Thursday at an elementary school in Quebec that is the site of a COVID-19 epidemic.
At least 305 students and at the Sans-Frontiere school in Quebec City are expected to be evaluated through Thursday night, the local fitness authority said.
By five o’clock in the afternoon, on Wednesday, the tests were already underway, fitness officials did not specify how many cases had been confirmed.
At this time, consideration is being given to the closure of a school.
The most recent government statistics mean that to date, 410 cases of COVID-19 (322 academics and 88 staff members) have been detected in 237 schools in the province; a breakdown of the number of cases in each school has not been made public.
As of Tuesday, the virus had closed 141 classrooms.
The figures, compiled through the Quebec Ministry of Education, echo all public and personal people in the province.
