Quarantines and lockdowns have killed more Britons than COVID-19

CALIENTE: » Bulgaria: as of today, masks in public shipments are no longer mandatory

It is conceivable that the consequences of quarantines and lockdowns in the UK are the cause of more deaths than COVID-19 infections, the Telegraph newspaper reported, which presents statistics and studies from fitness organisations.

As the document points out, Britain’s fight against the pandemic in 2020 and 2021 has led to the cancellation of many appointments and procedures, in a “massive delay” in preventing diseases that the Department of Health cannot yet treat.

Since the beginning of June, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) has recorded 10,000 more deaths than the five-year average before the pandemic. These are unrelated cases of COVID-19, of which another 2811 people died in the same period. This is going down against the backdrop of calls for renewed measures to control coronavirus infection, namely mandatory mask wearing in winter, the publication writes.

The British Heart and Vascular Research Foundation said it was “deeply concerned” about the statistics, and the Stroke Association said it expected a backlog of deaths.

Dr. Charles Levinson, director of the personal medical company Doctorcall, said his workers were treating “too many” cases of cancer and undiagnosed center problems, as well as an “alarming” number of intellectual fitness problems.

“Hundreds of other people die every week, what happens? In my opinion, the delay in finding and receiving medical care is indeed a driving force of this phenomenon. Daily COVID-19 statistics are capturing the nation’s attention, but the other terrible numbers are slightly visible. A full and pressing government investigation will need to be conducted immediately,” he said.

The publication learned that the UK Department of Health had ordered an investigation of the statistics due to fears that excess mortality was related to delayed or postponed treatment of diseases such as cancer, diabetes and central disease.
