QC launches COVID-19 telemedicine program

MANILA, Philippines – Quezon City on Thursday introduced a telemedicine formula for patients with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

The program will also include healthcare personnel who are most at risk of exposure to COVID-19, said Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte.

The program, the government added, is in partnership with the Ministry of Health (DOH).

In the program, the local government said DOH donated 15 laptops and desktops for distribution at HOPE facilities, as well as some gyms in Quezon City.

HOPE services serve as quarantine and remedy centres for imaginable and asymptomatic cases of COVID-19.

There are currently 202,361 COVID-19s in the Philippines, with 3,137 deaths and 133,460 recoveries.

Of the total number of cases nationwide, 10,404 were recorded in Quezon City, according to the most recent COVID-19 count provided by the city government.
