Dubai: Qatar recorded on Friday 208 new cases of COVID-19 and 220 recoveries, for the Ministry of Public Health.
With this, the active instances in Qatar fell to 2,983, while the overall recoveries increased to 115,017.
In the last 24 hours, the virus has claimed the death of a 60-year-old patient, bringing the death toll to 196.
The ministry said measures to combat COVID-19 in Qatar have managed to flatten the curve and restrict the spread of the virus.
“Proactive and comprehensive detection of suspected cases across Qatar has allowed us to identify a large number of positive cases in the community,” the ministry said.
