Qatar reports 203 new Covid-19 infections, 221 recovered on Saturday

The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) on Saturday reported 203 new cases of coronavirus shown in the last 24 hours, 157 from the network and 46 from travelers returning from abroad.

The MoPH also recorded 221 recoveries from the virus in the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 132,577.

All new instances have been placed in isolation and are receiving physical care.

The ministry said measures to combat covid-19 in Qatar have been controlled to flatten the curve and restrict the spread of the virus and that the number of new daily cases and hospital admissions continues to decline every week.

The proactivity and thoroughness of Qatar’s suspected cases has enabled the ministry to identify a high number of positive cases in the community.

Qatar has one of the lowest Covid-19 deaths in the world.

This is the one of:

— Very high quality of care provided through the public fitness sector for Covid-19 patients.

— The population of Qatar.

— Proactive in identifying instances at an early stage.

— Expand hospital capacity, i. e. extensive care, so that all patients get the medical care they need.

— Protect the elderly and others with chronic illnesses.

Even if restrictions are lifted and numbers decrease, this does not mean that the Covid-19 pandemic is over in Qatar, other people continue to be admitted with moderate to severe Covid-19 symptoms.

– Unless we stick to all precautionary measures, we may revel in a moment with a wave of virus and see the number increase, there are already symptoms that this is in other countries of the world.

— Avoid close contact with other people, crowded places, and confined spaces where other people congregate.

Now more than ever, we want to be careful and be the most vulnerable.

— As Covid-19 restrictions are lifted in Qatar, it is vital that everyone plays their part in controlling the virus through the following precautionary measures:

— Respect for distancing.

— Avoid close contact with other people, crowded places, and confined spaces where other people congregate.

— Wear a face mask.

— Wash regularly.

Most importantly, it is important that we continue to be with the elderly and those with chronic illnesses.

— When spending time at home with elderly family members or others with chronic illnesses, be sure to wash your hands regularly, wear a mask, and maintain social and physical distancing.

Anyone suffering from Covid-19 symptoms deserves to call the 16000 helpline or go directly to one of the designated fitness centres to pass the mandatory checks in Muaither, Rawdat Al Khail, um Slal or Al Gharafa. This is vital because the above is detected the disease, less difficult it will be to obtain the right remedy and recover.
