The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) on Sunday reported 340 new cases of coronavirus (Covid-19) and 354 recoveries of the virus in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of other people recovered in Qatar to 103,377 cases. It also reported the deaths of 3 other people aged 56, 59 and 69 who were receiving medical attention.
The Ministry of Public Health said in a statement that all new instances have been kept in isolation and are receiving mandatory physical care.
Measures to combat Covid-19 in Qatar have been controlled to flatten the curve and restrict the spread of the virus and the number of new daily cases and hospital admissions continues to decline every week.
“The proactivity and thoroughness of Qatar’s suspected cases has allowed us to identify a high number of positive cases in the community,” the ministry said.
Qatar has one of the lowest Covid-19 death rates in the world. This is the one of:
* Very high quality care provided through the public fitness sector for Covid-19 patients * Qatar’s youth population
*Proactive to identify instances early
Expand hospital capacity, especially extensive care, so that all patients get the medical care they need
*Protect seniors and others with chronic illnesses.
Even if restrictions are lifted and numbers decrease, this does not mean that the Covid-19 pandemic is over in Qatar: every day, between 50 and 100 more people are hospitalized with moderate to severe Covid-19 symptoms.
“Unless we comply with all precautionary measures, we may revel in a wave of virus in a moment and see the numbers increase, there are already symptoms that this is decreasing in other countries around the world. Avoid close contact with others, crowded places and confined spaces where other people Today more than ever, we will have to be careful and protect the vulnerable as much as possible. “
As Covid-19 restrictions are lifted in Qatar, it is vital that everyone plays their part in controlling the virus through the following precautionary measures:
* Respect for distancing.
Avoid close contact with other people, crowded places, and confined spaces where other people congregate.
* Wear a mask
* Wash regularly.
* Most importantly, it is important that we continue to stand with the elderly and those suffering from chronic diseases.
Anyone suffering from Covid-19 symptoms should call the 16000 helpline or go directly to one of the designated fitness centres to pass the mandatory checks in Muaither, Rawdat Al Khail, um Slal or Al Gharafa.
This is important because the earlier the disease is detected, the less difficult it will be to get proper treatment and recover. The Ministry of Health invites others to visit its online page for regular updates and new information.
