Qatar: Cabinet exempts licensing fees on national products during promotion

Doha, Qatar: The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, H. E. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani chaired the Cabinet assembly held on Wednesday morning at his headquarters in Amiri Diwan.

Following the meeting, H. E. The Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs issued the following statement:

The Council of Ministers discussed the following items on its agenda:

First, the adoption of a draft resolution by the Minister of Trade and Industry on the exemption of domestic products from certain licence fees applied through the promotional periods of the Ministry of Trade and Industry.

Second – Taking necessary actions to ratify the cooperation agreement in the fields of tourism and business events between the Government of the State of Qatar and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Third – Approval of the Draft Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Youth Cooperation between the Government of the State of Qatar and the Government of the Republic of the Philippines.

Fourth – Approval to host the 11th Assembly of the Arab Committee of United Nations Experts on Geospatial Information Management until 8 February 202.

Fifthly, the Council of Ministers considered the following issues and took appropriate decisions in this regard:

1- Draft resolution of the Minister of Environment and Climate Change on the regulation of the manufacture, installation and monitoring of synthetic coral reefs.

2- The annual Office of Public Service and Government Development.

3- A report on the effects of participation in the GCC Ministers’ Meeting of Justices held in Muscat in October 2023.

4- A report on the effects of participation in the GCC Ministers of Culture Meeting held in October 2023.
