Home In Spain Spanish Economy
Between 2000 and 2022, Spain accumulated a reduction in productivity of 7.3%. The fall is even more surprising when compared with other countries such as the United States and Germany, where in the same period this indicator rose by 15.5% and 11.8%, respectively.
The cumulative decline reflects a “deficient use of the resources used” and places Spain at a “disadvantage” compared to the productivity of other countries. “Part of its production formula is not efficient, which hinders the benefits of loading at the festival and the improvement of the source of income and well-being according to the capita,” explains the first report of the Observatory of Productivity and Competitiveness of Spain (OPCE), published in the virtual newspaper El Español.
